Choosing a Niche Topic For Your Blog
This is very important for anyone who wants to start a professional blog.
Visitors come to your blog because they are looking for answers to certain questions or information that they need regarding a certain topic.
Therefore if you have a focused blog that lets your visitor feel that they have hit the jackpot for whatever they are looking for, your blog is going to be a real success!
Ask yourself these 5 questions when choosing a niche for your blog:
1) Are you interested in the niche topic?
If you are interested in the niche topic, it’s much easier for you to fill it up with fresh, original content. Otherwise, you will probably have to outsource the content writing to other people. Usually, if you are not prepared to do that, your blog won’t last very long.
2) Is there a strong niche group of people online who are already interested in your topic?
If you write a blog that nobody online wants to read about, where are you going to get your readers from? So that means certain death for your blog. Usually, when we research a niche topic, we make sure that there is already a strong demand for the information that we are going to provide on our blog before we proceed to create the blog.
A good example is, there’s already a big group of people who are interested in cosmetic surgery. So we write a blog about it or get other writers to contribute articles to the blog. Then we promote it to the people who are already interested in cosmetic surgery. These potential readers can be in forums, yahoo groups, online communities etc.
3) Is the topic expandable in the future?
It will be the best if your niche topic can be expanded into related topics in the future so that your content is not too limited. In the case of cosmetic surgery, it can be expanded to sub topics like nose surgery, eye surgery, hair enhancements, etc…
4) Is there a lot of competition in the online world?
Just do a search for your niche topic on Google and you can tell immediately if you have any direct competitors. If you find that all the top 10 listings are already occupied by hugely successful competitors, you might want to think twice about writing a blog about the same topics as them.
On the other hand, you might want to look into high demand sub niches with search keywords that have less competitors. For example, if you are focusing on “internet marketing” as a topic, that’s not really very niche. Instead focus on less competitive keywords like “internet marketing for beginners” or something like that.
5) What can I do better than the competition?
I know it’s hard sometimes to find a niche topic that you like and has little competition at the same time. So in the end, you might still decide on a topic that has competitors. Well then, you must outdo the competition somehow and make your blog unique! So crack your head and do something different. Perhaps you can offer unique videos that you created yourself on your blog, give away some freebies like an ebook or free e-course etc…
So ask yourself these 5 questions before you embark on starting your blog.
I wish you success in your blogging journey!

I am here at a forum newcomer. Until I read and deal with the forum.
Let’s learn!
hi everybody here!
I am going to buy a new car. Wish to have an up market model, but don’t know for sure what to choose… Can somebody advise me something?
Hi there,
That depends on what type of needs you have.
For example,
1. Any particular brand u like?
2. Do you need a sporty car or a family car or a mix of both?
3. Do you use it for daily travel, long distance or just short trips?
4. Is fuel consumption a concern?
Start with these, then it’s easier to narrow down what type of car u might like…
