Just learnt this neat little trick to add a link that allows your blog readers to share your article directly on Twitter! And create an instant increase of Twitter traffic to your blog!
All you have to do is…
1) Login to your Wordpress admin area.
2) Go to “Design” –> “Theme Editor” –> Click on “Single Post (single.php)”
3) Add this line of code below the sentence, “<?php the_content() ?>”
<br><a href=”http://twitter.com/home?status=Currently reading <?php the_permalink(); ?>” title=”Click Here To Tell Everyone On Twitter That You Are Reading This Article!” target=”_blank”>Click Here To Tell Everyone On Twitter That You Are Reading This Article!</a><br><br>
4) Click on “Update File” to save.
Then just go to your blog and click on any post, you will see the link appear just before your comments box. Click on the link and you will be taken straight to Twitter with a tweet that says “Currently reading…(your post link)”
Cool!
When your readers see this and they happen to have a Twitter account, this link provides them with an easy direct way to make a tweet! This is a wonderful trick to drive even more traffic to your blog!
